How I use AI
Last updated: October 26, 2026
I use AI every week, the way a filmmaker uses a camera: as a tool for telling a bigger, truer story, never as a replacement for judgment. This page explains where AI shows up in my work, what always stays real, and how your information is handled.
Where I use AI
- Writing and editing drafts, and building and checking website code, with Claude.
- Making images and short films, with tools such as OpenArt and Higgsfield.
- Research, planning and turning my own notes into guides and lessons.
I review everything before it goes live. AI never publishes anything on its own, on my sites or on a member’s.
What always stays real
- Client testimonials are real clients, on video, in their own words.
- The websites shown in my work are real, live client sites.
- Numbers I share, like what it cost me to build my own story, come from my own records.
- Images and films made with AI are labelled. On my story at laranelson.co, every AI-made picture and film carries a small “AI” mark. Photos of my family are real photos.
Your information and AI
- I don’t put members’, clients’ or children’s private information into AI tools to train them, and I never sell it.
- Members build with their own AI accounts. What you type into those tools is covered by their own terms and privacy policies, so read them, and keep private details, passwords and other people’s information out of your prompts.
- The kids’ library has no AI chat, no ads and no tracking pixels.
Using AI well
AI can be confidently wrong. Whatever it drafts for you, check the facts, make it sound like you, and only publish what you would stand behind. Use photos and names only with permission, and label AI-made images of real people. My lessons teach these habits from the first day.
